Brent Carter has been a Starting Strength Coach since 2013 and a Seminar Staff Coach since 2014, coaching Starting Strength Seminars across the US. Prior to his involvement with Starting Strength he received his degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences from Texas Tech University with emphasis in biomechanics and exercise physiology. Brent has been coaching clients of all populations and with various goals since 2004. In 2008 Brent moved to NYC to work with a boutique training company specializing in high profile clientele which lead to a career in education developing curriculum for trainers through a state licensed vocational school. After growing a successful Barbell team and group training class (winning three strongest team titles in the USSF) Brent Carter left NY to become the Dallas Fort-Worth Area Developer and lead Starting Strength Coach with plans to open three Starting Strength Gyms in the Metroplex.

In 2019 Michael Jones earned his Starting Strength Coach credential. During this time he coached a high school football team as their strength and conditioning coach. They went to the state championship twice, winning once. He has enjoyed coaching professional golfers, Crossfit athletes, martial artists, and grandparents. Before this, he trained with an affiliate of USA Weightlifting, apprenticed with SMU Football strength and conditioning, and played collegiate rugby. He loves sharing with his athletes the lessons of the barbell that apply both in and outside of the gym.

Morgan, staff coach at Starting Strength Plano, hails from South Bend Indiana. He graduated with a focus in Business Management, and Sports Management and Entrepreneurialism from Oklahoma State University. Here he found barbell training and Muay Thai. Upon discovering Starting Strength he placed 3rd at his first powerlifting competition. He has trained under the tutelage of Jordan Burnett at Starting Strength Dallas, and studied Olympic Weightlifting with Josh Wells and Nick Delgadillo at Starting Strength Austin. He continues to hone his skills through his development at Starting Strength Plano and through the Starting Strength Coach Development Course. He enjoys working with wide varieties of athletes and abilities, believing that strength is the foundation of a full and well lived life.
